I am not very good "updater" - meanwhile I came back from Germany - however there is something really very fresh. Maybe some of you know that I was the Course Planner for Park World Tour event No. 4 in Bratislava on Sunday 09/May/2004.

I tried to arrange very interesting "scenic" course in Bratislava's old town and castle hill with many route choices. I hope that all orienteers enjoyed this PWT event.

Here are some more pictures made by myself from PWT event No. 4 in Bratislava, capital of Slovakia.

Bad news are also news even they are shocking and sad...
Stano Franko (62), World Master Champion 2001, former member of Czecho-Slovak National Team, former Champion of Czechoslovakia, Slovakia, enthusiastic trainer, organizer and competitor, best friend, loving father and grand father, charming and magic Human Being is no more (physically) among us.
We will miss his never endless optimism and energy, which he was giving to everybody in his surroundings...
Stano, you will always stays in our memories...

What is new? This site is active again on the net… So if you are again here, welcome and update your links…

Some younger guys have some doubts but my Slovakian Orienteering Homepage was one of the first not Scandinavian orienteering homepages in the world and definitely the first one in Central and Eastern European countries.

Today it looks like incredible but in 1994 there were not many not-academic sites and only major companies had their homepages on the net.
My Slovakian Orienteering Homepage was created when only few orienteering sites in Scandinavia, Switzerland and U.S.A. were active.

Now we have official www.orienteering.sk site in Slovakia with very good service and news. I don’t want to replace their (and our) information on the net but I would like to present some information, which could be useful for everybody who is interested in orienteering or who likes our beautiful country and nice people.

I am currently living in Germany but as you can see I am still connected to orienteering in Slovakia and in the world…
